1 - Life Sciences (nutrition, pharmaceutical, personal care, veterinary, nutraceutical)
This division includes food product essentials
such as dextrose and corn starches, high end specialty polyols that are so
important to the growing "Sugar Free" market, specialty excipients and
non-actives destined for the ever-expanding Canadian pharmaceutical producers,
specialty ingredients for the personal care markets, and active and inactive
ingredients for the veterinary industry. This division continues to grow
through the addition of complimentary product lines and a concentrated effort
focusing on new product development and approval.
2 - Industrial Commodities
Primarily handling bulk chemicals, including such industry staples as
methanol, ethanol, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, phenol, solvents, acids and
glycols, this division forms a solid base from which the Company provides a
full combination range of commodity and specialty products to the various
industries served by the three domestic divisions.
3 - Industrial Specialties
This division includes product lines such as corrosion inhibitors, anti-oxidants,
stabilizers, chelating agents, resins, flame retardants, and smoke suppressants
used in the production of plastics, coatings and lubricants and industrial
water treatment additives.
In addition, a broad range of silicone additives and pigments has been added in
early 2004. Negotiations are currently underway with several potential
suppliers to further expand the Performance Product portfolio.
4 - International Markets
Marketing selected chemicals globally, this division brings to the domestic
operations a global understanding and market knowledge so critical to today's
local decision making. Global market components include caustic soda, glycols,
methanol, and acetone.
